What We Buy and Collect in Avadi
Residential material in the main — televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, computers and a great many inverters and batteries — from independent houses and housing colonies, along with equipment from the schools, colleges and small industrial units in and around the area.
Booking a Pickup in Avadi
Call or send a photo on WhatsApp with a rough idea of quantity and we will confirm a slot. For a few items we can usually fold it into an existing run through Avadi; for a full clearance we survey first so the right vehicle and crew turn up. Either way the material is weighed at your address, not taken away to be weighed somewhere you cannot see. Collections are handled by our own staff working out of our Velachery centre on Velachery Main Rd.
A Note on Bulk Clearances in Avadi
Many households here move on a posting, with a fixed date and little time to sort things. If you are packing for a transfer, call us as soon as the date is known: we can survey from WhatsApp photographs and collect the day before the movers arrive, so the electronics you are not taking are gone without slowing the packing.

■ Common questions
E-Waste Recyclers in Avadi — your questions answered
Do you collect e-waste in Avadi?
Yes, across Avadi and the 600054 area, free of charge. Avadi is near the edge of our regular coverage, so collections are grouped with Ambattur and scheduled rather than same-day. Book two or three days ahead for a household pickup; for a larger consignment we survey first and give you a fixed date.
Is there a minimum quantity for a pickup in Avadi?
No minimum for a door-step collection. A single laptop or a single old television is worth collecting. For very small quantities we may fold it into an existing run through Avadi rather than sending a vehicle out specially, which can mean a day's wait.
How much do you pay for scrap collected in Avadi?
It depends on weight, composition and prevailing metal rates, so any figure quoted before we see the material is indicative. The binding price is set after weighing, in front of you, and you are free to decline it and keep the material.
Which Sree E-Waste centre covers Avadi?
Our Velachery centre on Velachery Main Rd handles Avadi. Both our centres are open Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 7:00pm, and you are welcome to drop material off directly instead of waiting for a collection.
How quickly does Sree E-Waste reach Avadi?
Usually within 24 to 48 hours of your call. Avadi is one of the areas we run through regularly, so it is often sooner. If a slot has to move we tell you rather than let it pass.
Is Sree E-Waste authorized to handle e-waste from Avadi?
Yes — a government licensed e-waste handler operating under the trademark 'Redit Eco Recycling'. We provide our authorization details on request, which businesses normally need for their own compliance file.
